We provide water in recyclable aluminium cans and homemade lunches including locally sourced fresh ingredients - including from Roxy’s garden (elderflower, rhubarb, lettuce).
Hot and cold drinks, including locally brewed beer from Falklands Beerworks*, are included.
We partner with One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every vehicle booked. Helping to make a difference in the world and go towards offsetting the carbon footprint of the tour. Please note the trees are not planted in the Falkland Islands.
All tours are private. We guarantee you will not share a vehicle with others outside of your group. Our 4x4 vehicles comfortably seat 4 passengers. We have a limited number of vehicles that can accommodate up to 6 passengers.
You’ll travel with a local who loves their home and wants to show it off to you and give you the best experience possible.
The scenery and wildlife of the Falkland Islands continue to take our breath away, visitors are blown away by what they see and experience on our tours.
Please note that travellers must be able to get in/out of a 4x4 vehicle.

Penguin Paradise Tour
Bertha’s Beach - Yorke Bay - Stanley

Go on an adventure out of Stanley. We’ll travel about an hour (predominantly on a tarmaced road, with a short gentle spell off-road on grass and sand) to Bertha’s Beach. Once there you’ll enjoy hundreds of gentoo penguins. You’ll be as close as 6m from them! And if you stay still they may even come right up to you! If you’re lucky you may even see a Magellanic or king penguin. There are often dolphins swimming along the beach too.
Bertha’s Beach is an ideal location for anyone with mobility issues (please inform us when booking of any issues so that we may accommodate).
Your guide will accompany you to the penguins and remain on hand to answer your questions and take photos of you enjoying your penguin encounter.
Bertha's Beach is a very special place that is recognised as a wetland area of international importance under the RAMSAR Convention, due to the diverse variety of wetland habitats and wildlife. It is one of only two in the Falklands. It is also classified as a globally Important Bird Area by Birdlife International.
After Bertha's Beach we head back towards Stanley, taking in the stunning scenery once again of huge skys, stone runs, mountains and the sea. We’ll take a trip to nearby Yorke Bay & Gypsy Cove (optional) to see even more gentoo penguins as well as, usually, Magellanic and king penguins. Three of the Falklands’ five penguin species!
We’ll then take a look around Stanley, the world’s most southerly capital city. See the main landmarks: Christ Church Cathedral, Whalebone Arch, Liberation Monument, Battle of the Falklands Monument, Government House (official residence of the King's representative), Lady Elizabeth (Liz) shipwreck. Receive local recommendations on attractions, shops, pubs and restaurants.

Wild Shores Tour
Elephant Seals & Gentoo Penguins at Whale/Kelp Point plus Stanley Tour

Go on an adventure out of the capital Stanley. We’ll travel about 90 minutes (tarmaced road and then off-road) to Whale/Kelp Point. Once there you’ll enjoy elephant seals and gentoo penguins. You’ll be as close as 6m from them! And if you stay still the penguins may even come right up to you!

Discover one of the Falkland Islands’ most breathtaking wildlife destinations on the King’s Haven Tour, a journey devoted to the incredible king penguin colony at Volunteer Point. Home to the largest and most accessible group of king penguins in the islands, this remote location offers a truly unforgettable encounter with nature.
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive out of Stanley before we head across private farmland and along a rugged off-road track. The journey itself feels like an expedition, with big open landscapes and a real sense of reaching somewhere special.
Once at Volunteer Point, you’ll have plenty of unhurried time to explore the king penguins at their colony and along the stunning white-sand beach. Gentoo and Magellanic penguins are nearby too, making this a fantastic spot for wildlife watching and photography. Whether you want peaceful observation or striking close-up shots (from a respectful distance).
The King’s Haven Tour is perfect for travellers who want to experience the Falklands at their wildest, most beautiful, and most awe-inspiring.

A unique journey through Falklands history and wildlife. Departing from Stanley, we’ll navigate the island's rugged landscape, passing through historic battlefields and former minefields that bear witness to the Falklands War. Our first stop is the Mount Harriet war memorial, honouring those who served in the 1982 conflict. We’ll then travel to Fitzroy, where the poignant memorials and graves remind us of the bravery and sacrifice of British servicemen, including the site where the Sir Tristram and Sir Galahad ships were struck.
Heading back towards Stanley, we stop at Yorke Bay, home to thriving colonies of gentoo, Magellanic, and often majestic king penguins.
In Stanley, we’ll visit the Liberation Monument. We recommend a visit to the Historic Dockyard Museum to see the 1982 display, offering further insights into the events and impacts of the Falklands War.
